PostHeaderIcon Yay!!

I got my results back from the Gestational Diabetes stuff, and I’m good to go, all in the clear. :D  Sooooooo, the amount of sugar I have been having is not bad. ;)  LoL.  Anyway, uh, I kind of went crazy today and bought a massive amount of origami paper.  I’m making a peace crane mobile for Lola’s room. I’ll put pictures up when I”m finished.  Until then I’m out!!

PostHeaderIcon Check up

Went to the OB on wednesday for the regular check up.  All is well.  I had checked my blood pressure at a store the other day, and it was extremely high for me.  I”m usually way under the normal reading.  And then on MOnday I had it tested again at Emory, and it was still high.  But yesterday at the OB it was perfect.  They said that since I was using machines, and not a real person, they fluctuate a lot, and can be wrong — obviously.

I told the doctor I saw yesterday that I wasn’t gaining weight, and he said it’s perfect!  He measured my tummy, and said she was growing great!  I was 29 cm, and you are ‘allowed’ 2 more or 2 less cm in relation to the weeks pregnant.  So since I was 27 weeks, 29 cm was good.  Which means though, that I am growing, and that I am getting bigger!  I can feel it, that’s for sure.

I have also been having horrid sciatic nerve issues.  It hurts to sit, and to move really.  It sucks.  But in the morning when I wake up, Lola always likes to kick for a while to tell me she’s up too.  It’s kinda fun.  I can tell that she does move every 2 hours or so, so her sleep patterns are obviously already quite visible.

I’ve been online shopping way too much, and must stop.  Can a girl ever have TOO many clothes though?

PostHeaderIcon Look at the difference!!!!

This was taken on 3 March 2010

This was taken 12 April 2010.

Look at the difference!!  Crazy thing is, I have not gained but 1-2 lbs!!!  My 2 week pregnancy weight was 162, and my 27 week pregnancy is 164 lbs (pending on the time of day).  But since I was overweight to start with, gaining less weight is acceptable.  But it still surprises me, since I do like sugar.

Speaking of which, Wednesday I go in for my 27 week ob appointment.  They are going to check for gestational diabetes — I’m scared.  I really do not want to have diabetes.

Today I had to go down to Emory for a study I’m participating in, and we did a fetal heart monitor thing today.  It was stressful, but fun.  I had to take 2 different tests while the peoples listened to the baby’s heart to see how my stress affected Poppy.  I didn’t hear much difference but I was sweating from my stress (and they were computer questions!!!)  But Poppy kept moving and made it hard for the lady to hear her heart beat, and had to change the position of the monitor a few times.  Silly girl.  Anyway, that’s all for now, more update on Wednesday.

PostHeaderIcon How cute!!!

We bought a papasan today!!

PostHeaderIcon well….

My mom and I promised each other that we would not buy any more baby clothes.  We haven’t been TOO good at that.  Though, she’s way worse than I am ((though I’m not complaining)).  At any rate, I had to buy this outfit.  It was too cute, and I’m lacking in newborn clothing…. So alas.
