PostHeaderIcon “Lola”

I slept all day, after not sleeping last night, so I’m probably not going to sleep tonight either.  >.<  Was on amazon.com, cause it’s the best time waster there is, and decided to search ‘lola’.  These are the things I found that were worthy of baby Lola.

A funny little book:   “Come and meet Lola… a very special chicken that will capture the hearts of children of all ages!

Every day, all the chickens on the chicken farm clamor to be chosen by the rooster to sit next to him. Except for one… Lola. She’s not like the other chickens, and when the rooster picks her one fine day, she refuses and leaves the farm in search of true love.

Share the engaging illustrations and heartwarming story of “Lola” with your children and give them an important lesson in being true to themselves and not settling for less than their heart’s desire.”  by: Loufane Gladys Rosa-Mendoza (Author)

A great show on PBS, “Charlie and Lola”.  Written and Drawn by Lauren Child.  I LOVE the show!!!  And her friend (shown on this cover) is Lotta.

“Lola and Lotta’s friendship is put to the test!

LolaÂ’s bestest best friend Lotta has a new coat, which was an extra-special gift from her granny. It is the fluffiest, softest, most loveliest coat Lola has EVER seen and she absolutely must borrow it. Lotta says okay, but only as long as Lola promises to not wear it in the rain or spill food on it or get it dirty. Will Lola be able to keep her promise?”  Check out “Charlie and Lola” on the Disney Channel!!!

This is by far my favorite.  I love LamBies and of course the name! The description says, “Lola 10″ Easter Lamb made of super soft curly fur in a light buff color with white accents.  Lola is as sweet as she can be, from her button eyes to her little bows placed at each ear she is sure to brighten your Easter Sunday.  Her sweet smile will greet you and you won’t be able to put her down. She will love “ewe” as much as you’ll love her.”

I love that last sentence.  So bad, and yet, it makes me laugh.  I may actually have to spend a few bucks and buy that lamb.

Of course there are also all the songs that have “Lola” in them.  As everyone likes to remind me, The Kinks did one about a cross dresser.  >.<  Yes, yes I know… thanks.  If that’s what my Lola wants to do, so be it!  But I always thought first of Copacabana, or Whatever Lola Wants, which probably shows my crazy taste in music… or my mature taste in music.

OK that’s all for now.
